pfsense workin its magic

so i replaced my router, since the original pfsense box died due to a power surge, with a hacked up thin client.

has one pci slot which is housing a 4 port 10/100/1000 network card
hard drive has been replaced with an ide to cf adapter
256 MB cf card (i don’t think it needed more)
ram has been upped to 256 MB
router os : pfsense 1.0.1 embedded
power is a 12v 3.3a ac adapter – no internal power supply

i decided to see how much this little bastard can take:

that is a 36GB download all to just one host over a couple of hours.
initially, from 1600 – 2015 it was throttled to less that 500kB, after 2015 i un-throttled the download and just let it go nuts.

i will be performing the same test soon but with an upload instead to see if it craps out
